Nik: "Guys, Do We Have Any Drums?" (10:00pm)

Korkarlan practiced today without our lead singer who was on a spirit quest for most of the day and couldn't make it to practice. Instead, we recorded a bunch of instrumentals. After a few good takes, we decided to end the night with a cover of "Ziggy Stardust" by David Bowie. We had never practiced it before, didn't have any drum tracks to go along with it, Tom was going to play bass instead of guitar, and I decided that I was to be the lead singer.

After we had finished (destroying, raping, killing, ect.) most of the song, I yelled at Ryan to take it out with a guitar solo to melt the minds of anyone still listening.

What followed made the baby Jesus weep.

Sorry world, for unleashing that upon you.

Nik: The Moisture King. (4:30pm)

The Muzzlers (Jon Kaplan, Andrew Nelles and I) had band practice today; the first one in quite a few months. We have been together for 4 years, and we finally finished our 3rd full song today. "The Moisture King (Comes For Us All)", a song about redemption. (And quite possibly mattresses?)

The moisture king was originally intended to be Andrew, but quickly turned into the black angel of death and the whole song jumped off from there. We'll be posting the song to our MySpace later tonight after I mix and master the final tracks down for the web.

Some basketball player broke his tibia and fibula and the bone was sticking out of his skin and I don't think he'll ever play basketball again. That's something I learned today that I did not know.
